I wouldn’t really consider myself someone that likes to wear things that are glittery, embellished with rhinestones; or sequiney. Every once in a while a piece comes along that catches my eye; this was one of them. The colors were just gorgeous together, and the fact that it was sequined made the colors all that much more beautiful. It’s a short dress; boxy in shape with a rounded hem. I had 2 different ways in mind to wear this dress.
The first idea was a little more toned down. No belt, with a oversized jean jacket and black booties. The second was belted with a high heal sandal. Well it was 108 degrees in Vegas today so I opted for the second lol. The cool thing is I have a whole other way to wear it for another shoot 🙂
The belt is gold plated in the front, and black elastic in the back. It was super cheap from H&M. My sandals are from Schutz Shoes. They are just a classic black leather sandal. I wore my hair in a bubble pony again. I so dig this hair style. Since the dress said a lot I kept my jewelry minimal with a gold hoop.
Being that it was super hot in Vegas I kept my makeup fresh and light. Guys I have been lovinggggg the new La Mer foundation. I didn’t want to because of the price, but its worth it to me. I also set my face with the La Mer powder. I love this powder because it is so finely milled, and turns practically liquid when it hits the skin. I HATE looking powdery; thats why I love this one so much. I bought the powder a few years ago; so it lasts forever. They changed the packaging when the foundation came out, but the formula is still the same.

The main focus of this look is this adorable red and white striped top & snakeskin boots. The top is from Zara. The best thing about this top is it can be worn 3 ways. I am wearing it off the shoulder held up by its adjustable straps. You can also wear it like a classic button up shirt. Lastly; you can wear it with the arms wrapped around your waist like a belt.
I have it paired with my favorite distressed Zara jeans. I actually just ordered another pair because I have been wearing them so much. Now lets talk about these boots. They are statement boots with their snakeskin texture. The white really makes them pop.
I always get a lot of questions about this bag. I bought it a few years ago at the CHANEL store in WYNN. I loved it because it looked vintage, and was the perfect size. The stores no longer have it but, I did find a almost identical one at a luxury consignment store for you all. They carry 100% authentic items so def check it out. The price is worth it.
My accessories are my Daniel Wellington watch, and this gold Cartier inspired cuff that I found for $6.00 at free people. I am also wearing gold aviators from Le Specs. All the outfit details are at the end of this post. Check it out.
I couldn’t wait to style this dress when I saw it on Go Jane’s site. I knew I wanted to make the dress fun and edgy. Yes this dress is beautiful plain with a nice open toe sandal. That is the way most people would wear it. So I wanted to show you a different option. This is what “styling” is.
I wanted gold accents so I chose my chunky gold Moschino belt, chain necklace and statement gold loop earrings. I opted for a lycra boot. Yes my favs from EGO , but this time in black. I also added a leather jacket. I always have a jacket with me. It doesn’t matter the time of year. The way they crank up the air conditoner I’m always freezing. Plus a jacket always adds flavor.
A messy top knot was a must for the hair. This was like a Vogue Ballerina X Black Swan look lol.
These jeans were love at first site. I thought they were so cool with the frayed edges. The fit is also amazing. Topshop jeans just really fit the body well. I also love how they size for all body types. I wanted to do the whole jeans and tee look so I paired it with this cute shirt. It says Sun Kissed and the year ’86. I wasn’t born that year though ehhhmmmm ’84 lol. It has a looser fit with a lower arm hole, but I tied it up in the back.
My silver High Keys from the Quay X Desi line really made the look summery and fun. I also whipped out my red Prada sandals from a few years ago. Lets face it these will never get old.
With the 90’s Vibes in full swing logo gear of the past is showing up everywhere. I was shopping in the mall, and decided to stop by GUESS to see the Classic Guess Collection. I found this amazing patchwork denim vest. It has that old High School Letter jacket feel. It can be styled so many ways; so this won’t be the last time I’m wearing it.
I wore it has a dress, and synched the waist with a red leather belt. I also wore these amazing red boots. Which have been currently glued to my feet. My favorite shoes right now for sure. They are from Ego Official in case you were wondering. You can get 15% off their site with my discount code LANA15.
I wanted to make this whole photo shoot super old school GUESS ad. Paul Marciano was always known for having sexy curvy models with big hair, perfect makeup and hoop earrings.
